Child trafficking and exploitation are not distant, foreign problems. They are unfolding right now in American cities, suburbs, and rural communities — hiding in plain sight.
The vast majority of identified child sex trafficking victims in the U.S. are American-born. Traffickers recruit from schools, group homes, social media, and shopping malls — targeting children as young as 11 years old.
California, Texas, and Florida consistently rank as the top three states for reported trafficking cases. Population density, border access, and major transit corridors make them prime operating zones for trafficking networks.
Child sexual exploitation has exploded online. In a single recent year, NCMEC received over 32 million reports of suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Predators use social media, gaming platforms, and encrypted apps to groom, manipulate, and exploit children — often without ever leaving their homes.
Children in the U.S. foster care system are disproportionately targeted. Studies show that a shocking number of child trafficking victims were in the foster care system before they were trafficked — a systemic failure that demands urgent action.
Despite the scale of the crisis, prosecution rates remain devastatingly low. Victims fear retaliation. Evidence is hard to gather. Traffickers exploit legal gaps. The ACT Foundation works alongside law enforcement to close these gaps and deliver justice.
Human trafficking generates over $150 billion per year globally, making it the second most profitable criminal enterprise in the world. This financial power funds sophisticated, resilient networks. Fighting it requires equal sophistication and resources.
The ACT Foundation addresses both child trafficking and child exploitation as interconnected threats — because they are. As a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we do not separate the rescue from the digital fight. Both demand our full force.
Child trafficking is modern slavery. Children are coerced, manipulated, or physically forced into labor and sexual servitude — bought and sold like commodities, their childhoods destroyed. In the United States, traffickers operate in every state, often hiding in legitimate-looking businesses, hotels, and private residences.
The ACT Foundation deploys elite operatives with backgrounds in U.S. Special Operations, Homeland Security task forces, and major metropolitan law enforcement to locate trafficking networks, gather actionable intelligence, and work directly with authorities to dismantle them — and rescue the children trapped inside.
Child exploitation takes many forms: grooming, sexual abuse, the production and distribution of CSAM, and the online predation of minors. The digital landscape has given predators unprecedented access to children. Tens of millions of exploitation reports flood NCMEC every year — and those are only the ones detected.
Our cyber specialists — many trained on California Highway Patrol Cyber Child Exploitation Task Forces — conduct digital investigations, trace networks of abusers, and coordinate with law enforcement to bring perpetrators to justice and remove exploitative material from the internet. Every investigation protects real children.
Our approach is multifaceted, adaptive, and relentless. We employ every legal tool at our disposal — from covert field operations to advanced cyber forensics — to protect children and pursue their abusers.
Our operatives — with backgrounds spanning U.S. Marine Corps Special Operations and DHS Human Trafficking Task Forces — conduct targeted rescue missions in coordination with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. When a child is found, we are there.
Our cyber team traces the digital fingerprints of traffickers and child exploitation networks. From dark web investigations to CSAM network identification, we build evidence packages that hold up in federal court — ensuring predators face justice.
Rescue is only the beginning. Every child we recover receives access to comprehensive, trauma-informed care — psychological counseling, medical support, and long-term recovery services designed specifically for survivors of trafficking and exploitation.
We equip survivors with education, vocational training, and life skills so they can rebuild their independence. Our reintegration programs are built around one goal: giving every survivor the real chance at a future their trafficker tried to steal.
We train schools, youth organizations, and community groups to recognize the warning signs of trafficking and online exploitation. Awareness is the first line of defense — and an informed community is a hostile environment for predators.
We work with lawmakers at the state and federal level to strengthen anti-trafficking and anti-exploitation laws, close legal loopholes traffickers exploit, and secure greater funding for victim services. Systemic change requires a seat at the table — we are there.

Over the past two months, my work has taken me to 12 countries across 5 continents. Long flights. Sleepless nights. Hustling. Grinding. Trying to make the world a little safer and a little better — one mission at a time.
Yet none of those experiences impacted me the way Cambodia did.
This journey reshaped my perspective of the world, of humanity, and of the mission we set out to achieve through the ACT Foundation. While there, I had the honor of partnering with true angels at HOPE House and Hope for the Silent Voices — organizations doing sacred, daily work to rescue and restore young lives.
At HOPE House, I met some of the most beautiful souls God has ever created — young girls who survived unimaginable darkness and hell on earth, yet somehow continue to smile, love, persevere, and inspire against all odds.
Somehow, I became "Uncle Nick." These girls are now my nieces, and the incredible people at HOPE House are family. I can only hope I impacted their lives even a fraction of how deeply they impacted mine. This is no longer just a cause. It is a responsibility. A calling. A mission.
